Powerful clerics can conjure a mace of unparalleled divine power.  These
puissant weapons are always sheathed in blackness to prevent their users
from being blinded by their holy glory.  Against mundane creatures, the
dark mace acts much like a typical enchanted mace, but against the forces
of night (undead, demons, and other powerful evil creatures) it produces
some very destructive magical effects.

This mighty spell is much feared by the creatures that lurk in the night;
they have been known to flee before it.
